DANCING SANDS – DRY GIN
A highly aromatic nose, bursting with green manuka leaves and juniper. Balanced on the palate, fragrant undertones of cardamom and Indian spices with a long liquorice tail. Crafted to challenge the gin aficionado.
Our dry gin is spice-forward with notes of cardamom, coriander, and peppercorns. Balanced with manuka leaves on the nose and almonds for mouthfeel, the gin is double distilled and vapour infused with 8 carefully selected botanicals. It is blended with water sourced from the aquifer that feeds the clearest spring in the world, Dancing Sands Spring.

DANCING SANDS – SUN KISSED GIN
Move over pink gin, we bottled summer! Fresh strawberries and locally sourced rhubarb are infused with our dry gin as a nod to summer nostalgia. Bottled at 37.5% ABV, this is what we call a sippin’ gin!
We start with fresh strawberries and locally sourced rhubarb, which are candied and then infused with our dry gin. The gin has a lovable sweetness full of candied strawberry notes and a delicate balance with the tartness of rhubarb. The original dry gin layers of cardamom, coriander, and peppercorns still shine through making this gin quite complex. It is aromatic, fresh, and smooth and dangerously drinkable.

DANCING SANDS – BARREL-AGED GIN
The huge oak flavour shines through with hints of sweetness drawn from the rum casks. You’ll also recognise our signature hints of juniper, manuka and spice with the peppercorns and cardamom leading the way.
Aged for 3 months, two types of casks were hand-selected: used 14-year Murderer’s Bay Gold Rum barrels and new French Oak barrels. The resulting gin is exceptional. Dancing Sands Barrel Aged Gin is blended and bottled at 48%. The huge oak flavour shines through with hints of sweetness drawn from the rum casks and the juniper, manuka, and spice that is the hallmark of Dancing Sands. It is a beautiful champagne colour.

DANCING SANDS – WASABI STRENGTH GIN
An initial wasabi kick greets you, carried by the underlying juniper berries. Orange and almonds balance the wasabi and horopito leaves creating gentle warming. The beauty in this gin is the kelp that creates a long salty and savoury finish.
Wasabi root, grown locally in Golden Bay is the inspiration for how a navy strength gin (58% ABV) should taste. An initial wasabi kick greets you, but it is much more subtle than wasabi paste. The horopito creates soft warming on the palate, smoothed out by the presence of orange and almonds. The beauty in this gin is the kelp which creates a long salty and savoury finish.
Because we are using real ingredients, the colour of the gin will fade over time and sediment will occur. Nature doesn’t stay pink for too long!
